Design and Build

The smartphone has a modern flat-frame design with a glass front and plastic back and frame, making it lightweight yet durable. It measures about 171.7 × 77.8 × 8.3 mm and weighs approximately 193 grams, which provides a comfortable grip during daily use.

The phone supports dual Nano-SIM cards, allowing users to operate two numbers at the same time. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick unlocking and security. Face unlock is also available as an additional biometric option.

Display

One of the standout features of the Redmi A5 is its large 6.88-inch IPS LCD display. The screen has an HD+ resolution of 720 × 1640 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and animations smoother compared to many phones in the same price category.

This specific model includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is sufficient for basic multitasking and app usage. If more space is required, the device supports microSD card expansion.

The phone runs Android 15 (Go Edition) with Xiaomi’s HyperOS, a lightweight system optimized to run smoothly on devices with lower RAM. This ensures better performance for essential applications such as messaging, web browsing, and social media.

For photography, the Redmi A5 features a 32-megapixel rear camera with HDR and LED flash support. This camera is capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second.
