The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite with 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage is the most affordable entry point into the Nothing ecosystem. Launched in October 2025, it strips away the high-end luxuries of the Pro model to focus on core performance, clean software, and that unmistakable transparent aesthetic.

Performance & Storage

Under the hood, the Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro (4nm). While different from the Snapdragon chips in the higher models, this processor is highly efficient and optimized for Nothing OS 3.5 (Android 15). The 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM is bolstered by a “RAM Booster” feature that can virtually expand it up to 16GB, ensuring that social media apps and light games like Free Fire or PUBG run smoothly.

A standout feature of the Lite is its microSD card slot, which supports up to 2TB of expansion—a rarity in the Nothing lineup. This makes the 128GB base storage much less of a limitation compared to the standard 3a or Pro models.

 Camera

The camera system is functional and smart, though it lacks the zoom capabilities of its siblings:

• Main: 50MP sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Keeping OIS on a “Lite” model is a huge win, as it prevents blurry photos in low light.

• Ultrawide: 8MP (120° FOV) for capturing wide landscapes.

• Macro: 2MP sensor for close-up shots (up to 4cm).

• Selfie: A 16MP front-facing camera that handles video calls and social media posts with natural skin tones.

 Display

Surprisingly, Nothing did not compromise on the screen. You get a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its most impressive stat is the 3,000 nits peak brightness, meaning you can read your texts clearly even at high noon in Nairobi. It’s protected by Panda Glass and holds an IP54 rating for protection against dust and rain splashes.

 Battery & The “Glyph Light”

The 5,000 mAh battery is a marathon runner, easily lasting a day and a half. It supports 33W Fast Charging, reaching 50% in about 20 minutes.

The iconic Glyph Interface is simplified here into a single “Glyph Light” strip. It still handles the most popular “Nothing” tricks: it flashes for notifications, acts as a visual countdown for the camera timer, and shows your charging progress at a glance.
